Museum visitors

Two visitors to the museum on March 28, 2015, were sisters Nadine Robbins of Bartow and Dottie Cleaves Palm Bay. They donated to the museum a number of interesting old photos of Gulf High and New Port Richey. They are granddaughters of Herbert and Winona Waters. Mrs. Waters taught music at Gulf High School in 1924, organizing the first orchestra at the school in 1925. They are the daughters of Wendell Waters, who was the GHS valedictorian in 1934.

Photographing old newspapers

Members of the Gulf High School National History Honor Society volunteer at the museum on Saturdays. Here a student photographs pages of the old New Port Richey Press. We have photographed every page of the newspaper from 1922-25 and 1928-32.

NPR Rotary donation

Thank you, New Port Richey Rotary Club! The club has donated $500 to the West Pasco Historical Society! In the photo taken at the board meeting on March 4, 2015, WPHS President Bob Langford accepts the check from Evie Parks, secretary of the NPR Rotary Club.
