Gene Sarazen in NPR

Here is a picture of golfing great Gene Sarazen in New Port Richey in Feb. 1932. Writing on the back identifies the boy as W. N. and as “Willie at Mr. Sawyer’s home in New Port Richey.” This is a photo that just sold on Ebay for $78.89! One of our members bid on the photo but lost. Photo courtesy of Bruce Weekley.

Museum visitor

Marilyn Johnson visited the museum during Chasco, showing off this rare t-shirt. It shows the three cheerleaders pictured in the 1940 Gulf High School 1940 yearbook. The one on the left, Jacquelyn Clark McLain, is Marilyn’s mother.
