A small collection of old envelopes and post cards with early Pasco County postmarks is here. Most of these were provided by Jack Malarkey.
Jack Malarkey of Crystal Springs was a visitor to the museum today (5/21). He brought some old post cards for us to scan and allowed us to photograph some postal history items. He is the author of a recently published postal history of Trilby in eastern Pasco County.
His Pasco County collection can be viewed here.
Don and Diane Faulkner were greeters at the museum today (5/21).
Walt Casson was a recent visitor to the museum. Here he is holding the 1946 and 1951 Gulf High School yearbooks, which he loaned us to scan. Walt was editor of the 1951 yearbook, and was the valedictorian of the Class of 1951. He has also given the museum a copy of his extensive study of the graves at Pine Hill Cemetery.

Here’s a post card we just received, postmarked in 1958. It shows the original First Baptist Church (1926-1978) located on the Circle.
Here’s a new video on YouTube by Florida Trailblazer showing what remains of a 1940s tourist attraction called Dupree Gardens, near Land O’ Lakes.
